Shower Trays

A low-profile shower tray has a minimal step height (typically 25-40mm), significantly reducing the effort required to enter the shower compared to a bath. A level-access shower tray is installed completely flush with the surrounding bathroom floor, creating a seamless, zero-entry threshold. Level-access trays are the superior choice for full wheelchair accessibility and the safest option for step-free entry.

Yes. Safety is paramount, and all our accessible shower trays are manufactured using high-quality, durable materials (such as composite or acrylic-capped resin) with a specially textured, slip-resistant surface. This feature ensures a secure and stable footing, even when the tray is wet with soap or shampoo, meeting essential safety standards for disabled showers.

Our collection includes a wide range of shower tray sizes (e.g., 1200x800, 900x900) and shapes, including rectangular, square, and offset quadrant designs. To choose correctly, first measure the available space precisely. Then, consider the mobility requirements of the user—a larger tray may be necessary to accommodate a shower chair or a carer for assisted bathing.

Absolutely. Our trays are designed to integrate perfectly with all accessible shower screens, including glass walk-in panels and half-height doors. When selecting a tray, ensure the edges are wide enough to accommodate the chosen screen or door seals to achieve a watertight installation.

While most of our accessible trays are a clean white, which aids light reflection, we advise considering the colour contrast between the tray and the non-slip bathroom flooring. For optimal dementia-friendly design, a clear visual difference between the tray and the floor helps the user delineate the shower space, reducing visual confusion and aiding orientation.
