AKW Option E Half Height Shower Screens

The Option E Half Height Shower Screen is a bi-fold carer screen with doors to both sides, opening in and out, designed to give carers easy access while showering.

Its half height design, combined with 180° hinges on the doors and 360° hinges on the bi-fold sections, allows the screens to open both inwards and outwards for flexible use.

 A stronger magnetic strip improves water retention, while robust frames, stronger fittings and improved seals give the screen a longer working life and a more reliable, continuous water barrier.

PET frosted panels provide shatterproof glazing for added safety, and quality white curtains with an L-shaped rail are supplied as standard.

Available in 900mm and 750mm heights to suit different installations, and covered by AKW's lifetime guarantee when fitted according to AKW installation instructions.

Note: Option E is designed for use with shower trays. For wetrooms use Option EW.

How to Choose the Correct Screen

1. Pick Your Handedness:

Non-handed is used with square trays (e.g. 800×800, 900×900mm). Both panels are the same length, so the screen is perfectly symmetrical

Left-handed vs Right-handed applies to rectangular trays (e.g. 1200×700mm), where one panel is longer than the other. You determine whether you need a left-handed or right-handed screen based on which side the longer door panel is located, when standing at the opening door entry corner:

• Left-handed - the longer door panel is on your left as you face the shower
• Right-handed - the longer door panel is on your right as you face the shower

Important: Choosing the wrong handedness is the most common ordering mistake. Returns are chargeable, so please check carefully before ordering. If you are unsure, please call us on 0161 223 5050.

2. Choose your size:

Each option has 2 door panels. Measure your longest door first, then your shortest length. Then select those sizes from the size option boxes.

Note: Some screen sizes are made to order and could take 7-10 days to be despatched. Please message us first to confirm before placing your order. Made to measure screens are non returnable.
