AKW Option EW Half Height Shower Screens 900mm Care Screens

The Option EW is a half height shower screen designed for wetrooms and walk-in showers, offering easy carer access alongside practical splash protection.

Available in multiple widths, all screens stand 900mm high and feature frosted shatterproof PET glazed panels, high-grade aluminium frames, and AKW's unique two-way rising butt hinges — allowing doors to swing fully inward and outward without awkward levers.

An easy-glide curtain rail with weighted white permeable curtain is included as standard for user privacy, along with trimmable corner blocks to accommodate coved slip-resistant vinyl flooring in wet floor installations. A 600mm drop rod and L-shaped curtain rail are also supplied.

How to Choose the Correct Screen

1. Pick Your Handedness:

Non-handed is used with square trays (e.g. 900×900mm). Both panels are the same length, so the screen is perfectly symmetrical

Left-handed vs Right-handed applies to rectangular trays (e.g. 1300×820mm), where one panel is longer than the other. You determine whether you need a left-handed or right-handed screen based on which side the longer door panel is located, when standing at the opening door entry corner:

• Left-handed - the longer door panel is on your left as you face the shower
• Right-handed - the longer door panel is on your right as you face the shower

2. Choose your size:

Each option has 2 door panels. Measure your longest door first, then your shortest length. Then select those sizes from the size option boxes.
