The Silverdale Option EW range is a professional-grade, half-height shower enclosure engineered specifically for wet room and wet floor installations.

This configuration features a bi-folding door and a single return door, providing a spacious and unobstructed access point for users with mobility aids or wheelchairs.

At 750mm or 900mm high, these screens are designed to allow carers to assist with showering from the outside while staying dry.

This range features clear, shatterproof PET panels that provide the aesthetic of glass with superior impact resistance, with a silver finish frame. Equipped with specialized floor seals designed to interface with wet room flooring, these screens ensure a high-integrity water barrier.

How to Choose the Correct Screen

1. Pick Your Handedness:

Non-handed is used with square trays (e.g. 800×800, 900×900mm). Both panels are the same length, so the screen is perfectly symmetrical

Left-handed vs Right-handed applies to rectangular trays (e.g. 1200×700mm), where one panel is longer than the other. You determine whether you need a left-handed or right-handed screen based on which side the longer door panel is located, when standing at the opening door entry corner:

• Left-handed - the longer door panel is on your left as you face the shower
• Right-handed - the longer door panel is on your right as you face the shower

Important: Choosing the wrong handedness is the most common ordering mistake. Returns are chargeable, so please check carefully before ordering. If you are unsure, please call us on 0161 223 5050.

2. Choose your size:

Each option has 2 door panels. Measure your longest door first, then your shortest length. Then select those sizes from the size option boxes.

FAQs

What makes the EW range suitable for wet rooms? Unlike standard screens, the EW range uses specialized bottom seals and gaskets designed to maintain a watertight barrier on the textured or sloped surfaces typical of wet room floors.

Are these panels made of glass? No. These screens use clear PET. PET is a high-impact, shatterproof alternative to glass. It provides the same clarity as glass but is significantly safer in an accessible environment because it will not shatter into shards if accidentally struck.

How do I adjust the screen for a sloped floor? The rising butt hinges allow the door to "rise" over the floor slope during opening. For the wall connection, the compensators provide 14.5mm of lateral adjustment to ensure the frame is perfectly vertical even if the walls or floor are slightly uneven.
