AKW Option NW Half Height Shower Screens 900mm Care Screens

The Option NW is a non-handed half height double bi-fold shower screen designed for wet floor installations, suitable for both the mobility and domestic markets.

Standing 900mm high and available in widths from 1300mm to 1800mm, the NW features 360° bi-fold doors that open fully inward and outward on both sides, maximising access for users and carers.

Trimmable corner blocks are supplied to accommodate coved slip-resistant flooring on site, and an oversized L-shaped curtain rail — trimmable to a straight rail if required — is included as standard alongside a 1800mm × 2000mm weighted curtain.

• Frosted shatterproof PET glazing — lightweight panels offer safety and shatter resistance while maintaining privacy and allowing natural light through
• High-grade aluminium frames — robust construction engineered for durability in regular wet environment use
• Hardwearing nylon 6 hinges and caps — all hinge components resist corrosion and wear for extended product life
• Magnetic strip and profiled floor seals — work together to contain water effectively and maintain a watertight seal during showering
• Elastomeric gaskets — high-integrity seals around the full perimeter of the screen for consistent watertightness
• Smooth D handles and modern latches — ergonomically designed for ease of use; keeps bi-fold doors secure in the open or closed position
• Trimmable corner blocks supplied — can be cut on site to match any radius of coved slip-resistant flooring for a compliant wet floor finish
• Oversized L-shaped curtain rail and curtain included — rail trimmable to straight on site; 1800 × 2000mm white permeable weighted curtain supplied as standard
• Half height for carer access — 900mm screen height provides effective splash protection while keeping the showering area fully open for carer-assisted bathing
