AKW Option XF Full Height Shower Screens

A carer-assisted shower screen for use with shower trays, combining a full-height hinged door panel with bi-folding lower 900mm side panels that wrap around the bath for complete splash protection.

The screen has a fixed side panel on run '7' and bi-folding doors on runs '7' and '8', opening both in and out via rising butt two-way hinges — no awkward levers required — with 180° opening on the single door and 360° opening on the bi-fold sections.

Frosted, shatterproof PET glazed panels sit in a robust high-grade aluminium frame, with a magnetic strip, profiled floor seals and elastomeric gaskets keeping water contained, plus a trimmable L-shaped curtain rail and 1800mm wide x 2000mm drop weighted curtain supplied as standard.

14.5mm compensator adjustment on each side helps the panel fit uneven walls. Available in two widths and in left- or right-handed configurations to suit either end of the bath.

How to Choose the Correct Screen

1. Pick Your Handedness:

Left-handed vs Right-handed applies to rectangular trays (e.g. 1200×700mm), where one panel is longer than the other. You determine whether you need a left-handed or right-handed screen based on which side the longer door panel is located, when standing at the opening door entry corner:

• Left-handed - the longer door panel is on your left as you face the shower
• Right-handed - the longer door panel is on your right as you face the shower
