AKW SmartCare Lever White Electric Shower with Silver/White kit

A dementia-friendly electric shower designed for safety, simplicity and ease of use.

It shares the same contemporary white housing and thermostatic safety technology as the SmartCare Plus, but replaces push-button controls with a single, easy-to-use mid-grey lever handle — turned for temperature, pressed to start and stop.

Audible clicks confirm each temperature setting, making the shower easy to operate by feel as well as by sight, and its matt, anti-glare finish with rounded edges reduces glare and the risk of injury.

It's the first electric shower to achieve DSDC (Dementia Services Development Centre) accreditation from the University of Stirling, and is also BEAB CARE certified.

Thermostatic control with phased/auto shutdown and patented safety features provide further protection against scalding.

Installation is quick thanks to a retro-fit footprint that covers most other manufacturers' models, with no re-tiling and no new cable or pipework required in most cases.

Available in 8.5kW and 9.5kW power options to suit different water supply conditions, and backed by a 5-year warranty when registered within 30 days of installation.
