The Impey Slimfold is a wall-mounted fold-down shower seat that replaces traditional floor-standing legs with a cross-bracing wall support system. This removes the risk of toe-trapping and foot contact with legs, eliminates the possibility of heavy legs damaging the floor surface, and allows the seat to be mounted lower than conventional fold-down seats — as low as 415 mm from the floor where needed.

When folded, the seat protrudes only 68 mm from the wall and presents its stylish upper face rather than the underside. The folded position is also locked mechanically — it cannot drop accidentally if knocked. Made in Britain from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the Slimfold is rated to 300 kg (47 stone) and is available in five colours.

• Wall-fix to structural noggins or a suitable solid substrate. Cross-brace supports must be fixed securely at both anchor points. Standard cavity or stud walls require appropriate reinforcement behind the fixing positions.
• No floor contact — the cross-brace design eliminates floor-load concerns, making this suitable for wetroom formers, vinyl, and other floor finishes where leg pressure is undesirable.
• The 4° rear-angled seat surface drains water toward the wall — ensure the shower waste arrangement is compatible with this drainage direction.
• Maximum weight rating is 300 kg (47 stone) — the highest capacity seat in the Impey range, suitable for bariatric specifications.

The Impey Slimfold is a fold-down shower seat that fixes to the wall — there are no legs touching the floor. Instead, it uses a cross-brace support system, which means there is nothing to catch your feet on and no risk of the legs marking or damaging your shower floor.

When not in use, the seat folds flat against the wall to a depth of just 68 mm — about the width of a large smartphone. Unlike most fold-up shower seats, when folded you see the top of the seat rather than the underside, which looks neater. It also cannot accidentally fall open if knocked, which is a safety benefit in a busy bathroom.

To open the seat, pull the front edge outward — the rear drops down and the support arms lock into place. The seat surface is smooth, rounded, and slightly warm to the touch rather than cold like a plastic shell. It is easy to wipe clean with no recesses or joints for soap scum to collect.
