Kartell Straight Electric Heated Ladder Towel Rail (On / Off) - Chrome

A chrome ladder towel rail designed exclusively for electric-only installation — no plumbing required. The heating element is pre-fitted and exits from the base of the rail with a 1.5m fly-lead for hardwiring or plug connection. Three heights available, all at 500mm wide, with element wattage scaled to rail size.

The 22mm cross-tube profile and D-section uprights match the rest of the Kartell K-Rail family, making it straightforward to specify electric rails alongside central heating rails in the same project without a change in aesthetic.

Electric-only installation — no valve connections or system commissioning required. Element is pre-fitted and exits the base of the rail via a 1.5m fly-lead; hardwire to a fused spur or connect via a suitable bathroom plug to Zone requirements. IPX4 rated — suitable for bathroom Zone 2 and outside zones. Tapping centres are consistent at 455mm across all three variants, simplifying bracket positioning on multi-rail projects. The four G½" ports at the base are present for fixing symmetry with the plumbed K-Rail range and should be capped — they are not live plumbing connections. Select wattage to suit room heat loss: 150W for smaller bathrooms, 300W for larger or poorly insulated spaces. All fixings included; substrate anchoring should be appropriate for the loaded weight of the specified variant.

This towel rail runs purely off electricity — there's no connection to your central heating system, so it works all year round regardless of whether the boiler is on. It switches on and off at the wall and warms up quickly. The 1.5m lead at the base connects to your bathroom electrics; a qualified electrician should make the final connection in line with bathroom wiring regulations. All fixings needed to attach it to the wall are included in the box.
