The AKW M11 DigiPump is a mains-powered shower waste pump designed for use where gravity drainage is not achievable. With a maximum pumping capacity of 11 litres per minute, it is matched specifically to the flow rates of electric showers, making it the correct choice for electric-only shower installations. It responds automatically to the shower being operated via an internal or external flow sensor, and its adjustable delay and run-on time settings allow the pump to be calibrated to the specific installation — reducing unnecessary noise and ensuring efficient drainage. Compatible with a wide range of electric shower brands including AKW, Mira, and Triton, and rated IP45 for safe installation in Zones 1 and 2.

FAQs

Which showers is the M11 compatible with? The M11 is designed for electric showers and is compatible with a wide range of brands including AKW, Mira, Triton and others. A hard-wired connection can be made to the flow sensor of an AKW iTherm electric shower and many other brands. For a wireless connection to AKW SmartCare Plus and SmartCare Lever electric showers, the AKW Wireless Pump Module is required and available separately.

Can I install the M11 directly in the shower area? Yes. The M11 carries an IP45 rating, confirming it is approved for installation in Zones 1 and 2 of a shower room. The reversible pump head allows inlet pipework to enter from either the left or right side, giving flexibility in confined or awkward spaces.

How do I reduce pump noise after installation? The M11 features adjustable delay and run-on time settings. By calibrating these to the specific drainage behaviour of the installation, unnecessary pump run time is eliminated, keeping operation as quiet as possible. AKW also offers a wall-mounted Auxiliary Switch (25488) to manage any additional drainage required when the shower is not running, such as during cleaning.
