Product Overview

The McAlpine standard version of AKW's TSG52 two-part, 50mm water seal trapped gully, for use with AKW and Contour wet floor formers including ShowerDec®, Tuff Form8, and Tuff Form. It uses the same TSG52 gully body as the chrome-top variants and offers the same high flow rate, making it a direct alternative where the McAlpine fitting is specified or preferred by the installer. The two-part construction allows the top section to be removed for cleaning without disturbing the floor former below.

High flow rate for level-access shower areas. Maximum flow rate exceeds 40 litres per minute, handling high-output shower heads without pooling — particularly important in level-access and wet room installations used by people with limited mobility.

McAlpine standard fitting — installer-specified compatibility. Uses the established McAlpine fitting standard, making it the straightforward choice where a McAlpine waste has been called out on a specification or where the installer has a preferred brand.

Two-part design for straightforward maintenance. The gully separates into two parts, allowing the top to be lifted clear for routine cleaning without tools or disturbing the floor former below.

FAQs

Can this waste be used with a pumped drainage system?

No. The TSG52 is a gravity waste and requires a fall to the drain. Where gravity drainage is not achievable, a pumped waste such as the USG1-WH is required instead.

Are chrome top versions of this gully available?

Yes. A round chrome stainless steel top version is available as 08GT52-R and a square chrome stainless steel top version as 08GT52-S. All three use the same TSG52 gully body.

What floor depth is needed to fit this waste?

The waste is 100 mm in depth. Confirm that your floor former specification allows for at least this depth of void beneath the waste outlet before ordering.
